This overwrites bytes in memory and downloads a shredded copy. It does not securely erase the original file on disk — delete that yourself afterward.

How it works

What shredding means here

We read the file into memory, fill a buffer with random or zero bytes, and offer a download. Your original file remains until you remove it in the OS.

Before you start

  • Not a substitute for full-disk secure erase.
  • Clear downloads folder after.
