File Share

Share a file

Send any file straight from your browser to theirs. Encrypted end to end. Nothing is parked on our disks while it moves.

Private by default. Files and media stay on your device. Signaling only introduces peers — it never receives document contents.

Device to device

Bytes stream between browsers. We help peers find each other, then step aside.

End-to-end encrypted

Transfers ride on WebRTC DTLS. File content is never part of a server upload.

No size quota

Send what fits on disk and memory. No artificial caps or daily allowances.

Verification word

Both sides see the same short word so you can confirm the link is direct.

Use the app

Pick a file, create a room, and share the code. Bytes move peer to peer — nothing is uploaded to BrowserSpaces.

Choose Send or Receive to begin.

Session

Not connected

The verification word appears after you join a room via signaling.

Transfer progress0%
Keep both tabs open until progress hits 100%. Signaling never receives the file bytes.

Private by design

  • Files stream browser to browser over an encrypted WebRTC link.
  • No upload queue, no size quota from us — only your device memory/disk.
  • If the link stalls, disconnect and create a fresh room code.

Your file goes straight to them — nowhere else

The file moves over a single encrypted peer link. Signaling only helps the two devices discover each other; it never sees, stores, or relays what you send. Confirm the verification word before moving sensitive material.

Before you start

  • Keep both tabs open until the transfer completes.
  • For large files, prevent sleep on both machines while the browser runs.
  • If the connection stalls, disconnect and create a fresh room code.

Three steps to send

  1. 1

    Choose a file

Pick anything in your browser. It stays on your device until a peer connects.

  2. 2

    Share the code

Create a room and send the short code or link to the person who should receive it.

  3. 3

    Watch it stream

Chunks flow peer to peer with live progress. They get a normal download when it finishes.
